Proprietor Tricia Butler comes from a large family of restaurateurs in South Carolina, where she learned the spirit of hospitality that Southerners are famous for and acquired early on the discipline and attention to detail demanded by professional culinary arts.

After moving to the Northwest in 2005, she immersed herself in the local food scene, gathering a sense of the terrain and forming relationships with farmers around the Willamette Valley.

Her vision, augmented by that of General Manager Catherine Schön, ensures that each custom-created menu reflects, whenever possible, the peak of the season, using quality ingredients that are organic and locally grown.

Best of all, every Sassafras Catering event is orchestrated with one single goal in mind: to allow you to relax and have a good time making new memories.
